OUR ACCOMMODATION

Willow House is located in a residential area of Lancing in West Sussex. It can accommodate up to five young people at any one time. The bedrooms are located across three floors and are furnished with a small double bed, wardrobe, mirror, chest of drawers, bedside table and a small fridge. They all have TV points, good internet connection and external locks on the doors. There are two shared bathrooms on the second floor and one shared bathroom on the ground floor; they all have a shower, toilet, sink and mirror. There is a shared kitchen which is equipped with a large fridge freezer, electric hob/cooker, kettle, microwave, toaster, washing machine and dryer. We have also provided some communal cookware, utensils, crockery, glasses and cutlery. Each young person is allocated a kitchen cupboard to store his or her food/drink. The kitchen leads into a communal lounge-area with seating and a TV with several free-view channels. We also have a large supply of DVD’s, a PlayStation and some games to encourage young people to spend time at the home. There is also a garden with a small patio at the back which is the designated smoking area, complete with a safe disposal bin. We have some communal sports equipment, including a boxing bag, to promote healthy living and alternative ways to release any difficult feelings, such as anger and frustration. There is also a garage to securely store bikes etc.

With regards to location, Lancing is a large village located within West Sussex, situated on the south coast of England, between Shoreham-by-Sea and Worthing. There are good transport links to Brighton & Hove and London, as well as other local towns such as Worthing and Chichester. Lancing has a good community feel and is considered to be a fun place to live for all ages. In the centre of the village there is a good selection of shops including both well-known stores and independent retailers. There are also several community and sports groups/activities nearby such as water sports, boxing, swimming, football and golf.
